First “Shop ‘Till You Drop” Benefit A Success
A big thank-you to all the lovely ladies who turned out to support Communities In Schools of Peninsula (CISP) by attending the First Annual “Shop ‘Till You Drop” fundraising benefit on Friday afternoon. Fun was had by all at the shopping bonanza, which boasted a pre-function at Bella Kitchen Essentials, followed by great shopping deals at Talbots Uptown Gig Harbor. The event, hosted by Pat Schmidt, President of The Gig Harbor Downtown Waterfront Alliance, was aimed at raising funds for CISP’s nine math and reading programs across the Peninsula School District. A heartfelt thanks also goes out to Cathy Combs, manager of Talbots Uptown, and Terese Garrett-Miller, for their commitment to community engagement and dedication to the CISP mission. Communities In Schools of Peninsula is a non-profit organization aimed at surrounding students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
